The claim that was made by Rachel Carson at the beginning of the video is that "if were are ever to solve the basic problem that comes with contamination, we must begin to count the many costs of what we are doing"

In the above she claimed that pesticide were doing a lot of damage to the environment. This claim was expressed fully in her book: Silent Spring.

What support does Carson provide for her claim?

To support her claim, she indicated that there were a lot of associated carcinogenic and effects resulting form tumors.

  • That the Chemicals irradiative and that they are modifying the way the world eco-system.
